Army chief celebrates Eid with troops in Miranshah

RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif Tuesday offered Eid ul Fitr prayers with jawans fighting Taliban militants in Mirnshah town of North Waziristan tribal region.

According to the ISPR, General Sharif has reached Miranshah on Monday to celebrate the biggest Muslim festival with the troops.

On Sunday, ISPR said that a total of 570 terrorists have been killed since the start of Operation Zarb-e-Azb.

The purpose of the army chief's visit to the war-torn North Waziristan Agency is to boost the morale of soldiers engaged in operation Zarb-e-Azb againt the Taliban insurgents.  – SAMAA
