Punjab anti-terror force to get 500 personnel

Staff ReportLAHORE: A new anti-terrorist force in Punjab has been planed as youths are gearing up to gain the chance of its well-paid slots, SAMAA reported.Details pertaining to the new force have surfaced, according to which, the force will comprise 500 personnel.Reports said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has given approval to the provincial authorities to establish the force tasked with combating terrorism, extortion, target killing and other crimes.According to the eligibility criteria for recruits, no applicant with a third division in the whole academic duration would be accepted as part of government’s plan to change the prevailing culture in police department.Sources said employees from other departments will be recruited in the force on contract and its staff would not be called as ‘constable’.Monthly salary has been fixed at Rs75000, while in case of martyrdom, family of the deceased would be given free accommodation.The hiring will start in November with the training scheduled for February next year. – SAMAA
