Staff ReportLAHORE: Senior PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan on Friday described the recent hike in oil prices as a form of terrorism. Ahsan made these remarks while leading a protest rally staged by the PPP against the petroleum price hike. “Increasing prices of basic necessities is another kind of terrorism,” he said.The PPP leader said the PML-N government has started plundering the country immediately after taking charge. “The government withdrew Rs58 billion instead of Rs40 billion in the name of Nandipur power project, robbing Rs18 billion in just one project,” he alleged. He said that his party would hold the government accountable for its anti-public steps.Last week, the federal government increased the price of petrol to Rs113.25 from Rs109.13 per liter. – SAMAA
