Staff ReportPESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday barred Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government from withdrawing Pakistan Army from the Malakand division, SAMAA reports.Chief Justice of PHC Dost Mohammad Khan ordered that the KP government should not act in haste vis-à-vis its decision to withdraw the army as it may create difficulties for the government going forward. The court also ordered the provincial authorities to consult the federal interior ministry and the Pakistan army in this regard.PHC orders came following a gory incident in Upper Dir in which two senior army officers were martyred on Sunday in a IED blast. It may be pointed out that last week KP government unilaterally announced a gradual pullout of the army from the Malakand division which includes areas like Swat, Mansehra and Dir etc.Pakistan Army is incharge of law and order situation in the division since famous 2009 Swat operation following extremists takeover of the valley. – SAMAA
