JI deplores silence of Islamic world on Egypt situation

Staff ReportISLAMABAD: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Sunday staged a protest demonstration in front of the Parliament House to show solidarity with supporters of deposed Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi. JI Amir Syed Munawar Hasan and Professor Ibrahim led the protest.Speaking to demonstrators, Mr Hasan deplored the silence of Islamic world on the killings of Muslims by Egyptian army. PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi also joined the protest. He said that Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) and Arab League (AL) needed to play their role to restore order in Egypt. – SAMAA
