Staff ReportISLAMABAD: Temperature is likely to go up in different parts of the country as week-long pre-monsoon rain spell ended on Tuesday, Pakistan Metrological Department said.It predicted that the weather will remain hot and dry in various parts, however, thundershowers are expected in Islamabad, Northeast Punjab, Southeastern Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and other upper areas during the next 24 hours.The normal monsoon rains are expected in the country during the entire monsoon season from July to September, said Director General PMD Arif Mehmood.Flash flooding over foot hills of Suleiman Ranges cannot be ignored during the month of September. — SAMAA
