Staff ReportISLAMABAD: Caretaker Interior Minister Malik Habib Khan said the government has completed preparations for the peaceful conduct of general elections on May 11; hence, the masses should come out of their houses to vote on the day, as the government will be there to protect them, SAMAA reported Wednesday.The interior minister, while talking to senior journalists here, noted Pakistan is passing through a historic moment now as it is the first time that the power is being transferred from a civilian government to the other civilian government.The government, he added, has accomplished all the measures for the peaceful elections with the Pakistan Army to remain on tow to provide full assistance, advocating the people to partake in the voting to prove that they will not capitulate to the terrorists.The interior minister Habib expressed grief over the injury to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan in his yesterday’s collapse from mechanical lifter while being raised to the rally stage and prayed for his early recuperation. –SAMAA
