Staff ReportISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court Thursday disposed of an appeal filed by IG Islamabad Bin Yameen in a case pertaining to former president Pervez Musharraf’s escape from the Islamabad High Court (IHC), SAMAA reported.The court also directed the Ministry of Interior to probe into the claims made by the IG in the apex court regarding his innocence.Earlier, the court suspended Islamabad High Court’s orders about taking punitive action against the IG when a three-member bench heard IG’s application against the IHC’s orders.The counsel of the IG pleaded that hearing is still continuing at the high court therefore a stay order be granted. After hearing the arguments, the Supreme Court suspended the orders of the IHC.Musharraf had left IHC for home after cancellation of his bail in judges’ detention case. The IHC had held IG Bin Yameen responsible and had directed additional secretary interior to take action against him.However, the ministry has reportedly refused to take a direct action against the IG. — SAMAA
