Approval of Qaim Ali Shah’s nomination papers withheld over ‘corruption’

Staff ReportKHAIRPUR: Approval of the nomination papers of former Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has been withheld by the Election Commission of Pakistan over objections of corruption, SAMAA reported.The PPP leader has filed his papers to contest election form PS-29 of the Sindh Assembly.Sources said local Retuning Officer raised objection that corruption of millions of rupees was carried out in Sindh during Shah’s government in Sindh.The Returning Office has convened the former chief minister on Saturday to clarify his position. — SAMAA
