I will eliminate corruption, says NAB Chief Fasih Bokhari

Staff ReportISLAMABAD: Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Faish Bokhari has said that may regime sack him but he will not rest before eliminating corruption, SAMAA reported on Saturday.After one year of complete silence, at last Chairman NAB Faish Bokhari broke his muteness while talking to media in Islamabad on Saturday.Fasih Bokhari said there is no pressure of the President or GHQ and people talked against him but he did not open mouth to say anything.Owing to political pressure and mismanagement corruption has mounted in the national institutes but I will not rest before rooting out corruption, Chairman added, saying there is no pressure on him.He revealed on the occasion that mega corruption has taken birth by nexus of bureaucracy, political community and private sector and it is very difficult to trace evidence in white collar crimes but we have to break this nexus to eliminate corruption.The NAB hardly recovered 250 billion rupees during last 12 years from the culprits; Bokhari informed to media and said that system of regulatory institutes is devastated so corruption is increasing.While replying to a question, Chairman NAB said he was appointed on professional expertise and he enjoyed support of Nawaz Sharif and government both.The Attorney General forwarded Dr. Arslan Iftikhar case but the Supreme Court took it back and he already said that it was a case of give and take between two persons, Fasih Bokhari said in reply to a question over Dr. Arslan and Malik Riaz case.
