PPP, PML-N likely to hold talks on new provinces, caretaker set-up

Staff ReportLAHORE: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) are likely to hold talks on caretaker set-up and new provinces later this evening, SAMAA reports. According to sources, the new round of talks between the ruling PPP and the opposition PML-N will be held at Punjab House, Islamabad. The PML-N side will be led by Senator Ishaq Dar while Federal Minister Khursheed Shah will head the PPP team. The talks, which were earlier scheduled for Tuesday, were postponed due to Shah’s sudden visit to Karachi. PML-N’s apprehensions about a parliamentary commission, which is tasked to recommend ways to carve out two provinces in Punjab, will be discussed in details, sources said. Two sides are also expected to take up the issue of caretaker set-up. When confirmed by SAMAA, PML-N leader Dar said that talks between the two parties could be held anytime and anywhere. SAMAA
