Petition filed in SHC for disqualification of Sharjeel Memon

Staff ReportKARACHI: A petition was filed in Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday, seeking disqualification of Sindh Information Minister, Sharjeel Memon.The hearing of the case will start on September 7th.The petitioner Rana Faizul Hassan said that Sharjeel Memon passed statements against the judiciary and chanted insulting slogans during a session in Sindh Assembly on August 7, 2012 which is against the Constitution.
He also said in the petition that he should be declared disqualified from his Tharparkar seat following Article 63 and new elections should be held for the seat. SAMAA
