Residents of Rawalpindi suffer from water shortage

RAWALPINDI: Residents of the city are suffering from water shortage problem in the holy month of Ramazan, SAMAA reported on Saturday.
Taking advantage of the situation, water tanker mafia has also increase the rates of tanker. The residents said that one water tanker cost Rs800 to 1000.
The areas of the city that suffer the most included, Jhangi Muhalla, Javed Colony, Dhok Chiraghdin, Gwalmandi, Aarya Muhalla, Tench Bhatta, Mohanpura, Bhabhra Bazaar, Dhok Kala Khan, Sadiqabad, Rahmatabad, Adyala and Talsa Road.
The residents of the areas said that no step was taken by the authorities even after several complaints. SAMAA
