Staff ReportISLAMABAD: Former Federal Law Minister Babar Awan Thursday said the next general elections 2013 would be held on their appointed time.Talking to media, he said the man who authored National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) is the creator of present Contempt of Court Law.Responding to a question, Babar noted the ruling party used to appoint its own people as caretakers in interim setup, adding but, the past experiences vindicated that these caretakers would turn out as chair-takers.Babar Awan continued, “But, we put a full-stop to this chair-taking tradition through the Twentieth Amendment.”“I wish and the federal government needs that the Constitution and the law are changed,” he furthermore asserted adding the Senate elections should be held through direct votes. This is, he added, the first time in country’s history for the democratic government to complete four years of its tenure.
