Killers of Hakeem Saeed behind Karachi situation: Nawaz

Staff ReportPESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) chief Mian Nawaz Sharif Friday said peace in Karachi was disrupted by those who were responsible for killing of Hakeem Saeed and incidents of firing on passenger buses.Addressing the party’s General Workers meeting here, he demanded a full-fledged crackdown on miscreants. He urged the political parties to get united.Mian Nawaz Sharif remarked the government itself was involved in deterioration of the situation; under the circumstances, it was his duty to raise the issue. In his rebuke to the government, the PML-N leader said, “Nation is concerned about the future of the country. Pakistan has no friend today and the country is all alone in the world. But, the government has no time away from its lavish expenditures and nation’s money is being wasted.”Nawaz Sharif snubbed the government saying, “The government has its agenda to get the country further bogged down in more troubles.” SAMAA
