Hundreds stage protest in crime-plagued Multan

Staff ReportMULTAN: Hundreds of citizens on Tuesday took to streets in Multan against rising incidents of street crimes and robberies. The protestors blocked Vehari road for traffic to record their frustration over growing crimes. In Chowk Shah Abbas locality of Multan, two robbers entered a local market and looted two shopkeepers on gun point. On resistance, they shot and injured them and fled along with the looted money of Rs.200, 000. Traders and citizens came onto streets against the robbery and blocked traffic. They lashed out at Mumtazabad Police Station for its failure to contain criminal activities in their area. SAMAA
