Staff ReportISLAMABAD: At least 70% of Tarbela Dam’s affectees are still deprived of their rights.Tarbela dam plays a major role in the country’s economy and is one of the important sources of power generation.In 1973, when the dam was about to be completed, some 96,000 people were ordered to leave their houses, as these houses disappeared when the dam was constructed.Till now these affected people are deprived of the promised amount and land.
