17 killed, dozens injured as hailstorm, downpours lash Punjab

SAHIWAL: At least 17 people lost their lives and over hundred others were injured across Punjab as a result of gale-force winds, downpours and lightning on Saturday. SAMAA reported.
At least nine people were killed and over 70 others injured as windstorm pulled down rooftops of houses, signboards and trees in Sahiwal.
At least three women of a family were struck of lightning in Jhang area of Athara Hazari. Lightning killed two people including a baby girl and injured nine others in Dera Ghazi Khan and Kamalia.
Meanwhile, lightning has killed a man in Muzaffargarh. Lightning has devastated windowpanes of a building in Faisalabad.
Two people were killed fighting with devastating hailstorm and the torrential rain while more than 25 people were left wounded. Some of them are critical in condition. SAMAA
