ISLAMABAD: Punjab’s Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the recent meeting between leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) was aimed at sending a message to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

His remarks came a day after PPP’s Babar Awan and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi of PML-Q met in Lahore on Monday.

Speaking to media in the federal capital today (Tuesday), Sanaullah said that the meeting would have no impact on the PML-N-led Punjab government.

“PPP is prepared to go to every extent to hide its corruption,” he alleged.

The Law Minister said the federal government has given a message to MQM that if it pulls out of the ruling coalition, PML-Q is there to help.

“We have great respect for Pakistan's army. However, it is deplorable on the government's part to use the army for its own benefits,” he added. SAMAA
