Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) has announced that the ongoing power load shedding has been terminated for the time being due to reduced electricity demand.

PEPCO Director General Engineer Muhammad Khalid told SAMAA that the gap between power demand and supply has dropped to 500MW only.

He claimed that uninterrupted supply of electricity is being ensured for domestic as well as industrial consumers. He, however, added that a few hours of power outages are being carried out at business feeders to overcome the existing gap.

Khalid said that this electricity load management plan could be changed depending on weather conditions. SAMAA
