Water outflow from Ataabad lake increases

Staff Report

HUNZA: Pak army continues to widen the spillway for the third day as the outflow of water from Ataabad lake exceeds 12,000 cusecs, said sources Thursday.

The water level of the lake has risen by nine inches in the past 12 hours.

The increase in flow of water is due to widening of the spillway.

On the other hand, the boat service which was suspended since May 16 has been resumed today. Through this service, goods between Pakistan and China will only be transferred. SAMAA
