BHC issues Musharraf notice in Bugti case

QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court has issued former president, Pervez Musharraf, and others summons in the murder case of Nawab Akbar Bugti for October 7.

Bugti's son, Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti, through his lawyer, Sohail Ahmed Rajput, appeared before the court on September 4, 2009 and indicated in an application that Musharraf and other men are behind the murder of Akbar Bugti and other Baloch people.

BHC CJ Justice Qazi Faez Isa, issued notices to all nominated people including Musharraf, former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, former interior minister Aftab Sherpao, former Balochist chief minister Ali Jam Yousuf, former governor Owais Ahmed Ghani and former Balochistan interior minister Shoaib Noshirwani to appear on October 7.

Jamhori Watan Party chief Nawab Akbar Bugti was killed on Aug 26, 2006.
