KARACHI: The Government of Sindh has devised a heavy-duty security plan for Muharram-ul-Haram in the city.

Six towns have been indentified as volatile under the security plan. Saddar Town, Jamshed Town, Liyari Town, Kaemari Town, Orangi Town and Baldia Town are said to be sensitive spots during Ashura.

Around 1,025 Majalis and processions will take place out of which 598 have been indentified as sensitive, whereas, about 327 areas have been said to be volatile.

About 48 mosques and 44 Imam Bargahs are also said to be sensitive spots.

Moreover, Karachi city has been divdided into three sectors under the Government of Sindh's security plan and heavy contingents of rangers and police have been deployed in the sensitive areas to control any untoward situation.
