LAHORE: Federal Population Welfare
Minister Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that anyone who
violates the country's constitution should be punished as
per provisions of the law of the land.
She was talking to journalists after addressing the
inaugural session of 'Training on Research Methodology and
Data Analysis' organised by National Institute of Population
Studies (NIPS) at a local hotel on Tuesday.
Dr Firdous Awan said that dictators had inflicted great
damage to the country to prolong their illegal rule, and stressed
the need to take to task whoever violates the constitution.
All persons must be treated according to the law irrespective
of their influence or social standing, she added.
To a question, she said that PPP faced great hardships
in its struggle against dictatorship and for restoration of
real democracy in the country.
Pakistan Peoples Party does not believes in politics of
victimization and wants to take on board all its coalition
partners in every national policy matter, she observed.
