KARACHI: Efforts are being made for introducing the
disciplines of International Relations, Law and Statistics at the
Jinnah University for Women (JUW).
This was stated by the Vice-Chancellor of JUW, Prof. Dr. Riaz
Ahmed Hashmi, here on Saturday.
He pointed out that the JUW is the only women's university in
Pakistan where there are 19 teaching departments.
Prof. Hashmi further stated that a batch of the university has
already obtained the Pharm-D degrees.
Meanwhile, three groups of students of the Department of Mass
Communications, JUW, came up with the presentations regarding the
enhancement of the female education.
They suggested that there should be the initiation of evening
classes so as to fully utilize the available academic facilities at
the JUW.
The need for introduction of various short courses was also
emphasised.
The Vice-Chancellor of the JUW appreciated the suggestions that
were put forward.
Prof. Shahida Qazi, Prof. Surriya, Mahfooz Yar Khan, and
