PESHAWAR: The Inspector General of Police NWFP Malik
Naveed Khan has reiterated his pledge that reward send punishment
will go together in the police force and those exhibited outstanding
performance would be generously awarded and those found in
dereliction of duty would be given due punishment.
He stated this while distributing different sentences to a
DSP, two SHOs, ASI and one head constable following an inquiry report in which different charges against them were established accordingly.
As per details, the IGP Malik Naveed Khan in the light
of inquiry report of DIG E&I has suspended the then DSP Bannu
Muhammad Iqbal Khan who is now-a-day posted as DSP Kulachi.
In the inquiry report the allegations of taking 19 thousands rupees
and keeping the two Bannu citizens in illegal confinement were proved
against the DSP. Similarly the name of the then SHO Chamkani Sub
Inspector Shenshah has been removed form SHO list following the
inquiry report in which he has found guilty by implicating an
innocent citizen in false case, taking bribe and committing violence
against him.
This inquiry was conducted in the light of news item published in
different national newspapers. Likewise, the IGP, after proving the
charges of implicating an innocent citizen of Nowshera Kalam in fake
narcotics smuggling, taking bribe and committing violence against
him, has suspended the then SHO Sub Inspector Abdur Rauf, ASI Roshan
Zaib and Head constable Shoib of PS Nowshera Kalan and ordered
further departmental inquiry against them.
It may be recalled that DIG (E&I) has conducted proper
inquiries against the said police officers and jawans on the
directives of IGP in the light of different public complaints and
newspaper cuttings. They were heard in personnel before awarding
these sentences.
