Kevin Keiley, a Sussex local claimed that his username @sussexroyal was taken by the Royal Couple without his permission.

Instagram changed Keiley’s handle to @_sussexroyal_ because his account was ‘inactive’, BBC reported.

He used the username for around three years as he supported the football club Reading F.C – nicknamed the Royals – and lived in West Sussex.

He knew about the change when his son texted him: “Ha, ha, I see your handle has gone then.”

The couple’s joint account was launched on Tuesday and broke a world record by reaching one million followers in the fastest time.
