To prevent him from spilling any secrets, Spider Man star Tom Holland wasn’t given a script of Avengers Endgame. Holland is known to struggle with keeping the secrets of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Directors Anthony and Joe Russo decided the only way to protect Endgame spoilers from leaking was to not give Peter Parker himself the script for the movie before or during production.
“Tom Holland does not get the script. Tom Holland gets his lines and that’s it. He doesn’t even know who he’s acting opposite of. We’ll just, we use like very vague terms to describe to him what is happening in the scene because he has a very difficult time keeping his mouth shut,” said Joe Russo in a statement.
In the past, Holland revealed the title for his standalone film – Spiderman: Far From Home – before Marvel intended to release the information. Holland also spoiled the ending to Infinity War while introducing a special screening, so it’s clear that the man is not to be trusted with sacred Marvel secrets.
Avengers: Endgame is scheduled for an April 26 release in the US, April 25 in the UK and April 24 in Australia.
