This Karachi festival teaches kids about Islam the fun way

Ramazan is just around the corner and entrepreneur Hiba Masood, popularly known as DramaMama, has organized a joy-filled Ramazan Moon festival for children to learn about the holy month in interesting new ways.

“This festival is about teaching your children with more enthusiasm that Ramazan is the best time of the year,” Masood told SAMAA TV on its programme Naya Din. “We have organised multiple activities including a theatre play for the kids to learn about Islam in unique ways.”

In 2017, she set up a child-sized mosque in the garden where children rushed to paint it brilliant shades of violet, purple, and lavender. It was accompanied by a session was held on why mosques are significant in Islam, she said.

The festival will be held on May 3 and 4 at the Arts Council Karachi from 4pm to 9pm. However, the ticket will cost Rs1,200. The event will be able to accommodate more than 2,000 people.
