Every married couple engages in arguments from time to time throughout their lives. It’s natural and I think, to some extent, necessary. Our first fight broke out over the nature of her attire after attending a party occasion.
Actually, I could not give up on something that I could not go a day without obsessing. You see, it was her Saree; my better-half’s first choice of attire, due to her preference for traditional dresses of which consist of several yards of lengthy, luxurious satin draped around the female body, that became the bone of contention. I believe I’m not a disagreeable or selfish type of guy, but this revealing outfit was enough to unravel any good- natured husband.
A cynic once rightly stated that relationships include fights, jealousy, arguments, tears, disagreements, but a deeply committed relationship fights through all that with love and faith. This is what happened when my hatred of this particular dress reached an extreme level and then eventually normalized with a realization. In my hatred, it was as though the Saree had torn apart my home but my wife, rationally, weighed in on my thinking that this Saree was not a see-through nor was it a very revealing dress.
After the storm of arguments subsided, her rational claim became evident by the modest manner in which she so elegantly modeled the Saree before me, and she had draped it so perfectly, that no part of her body appeared visible.
As every year usual, the marriage and connubial party season began right after Eid-ul-Azha and still going on peak level, so, there would be an opportune time-to-review the Saree trend this year. Yes, indeed! Saree is the most attractive and elegant attire a woman can wear, yet I must insist on the whole-body-drape style, to which my wife is in total agreement with me.
This season Saree trend may become the storm as ladies already seem crazy for handloom or jacquard designer Saree; searching every outlet and store of various kinds of this amazing attire.
This season Georgette and Chiffon Sarees are breathtaking sheer elegance not just for ladies themselves but also for their hubbies who will be infatuated for sure.
So my advice… Ladies! Wear it with modesty and make them your greatest admirer this year; it’s in your hand.
