NEWS DESK: We have a reason to be proud: our very own Malala Yousafzai is on the Harper Bazaar UK’s list aimed at “celebrating the most influential female leaders in the UK”!

Harper’s Bazaar UK commemorated its 150th anniversary year with the list.

“In our 150th anniversary year, following the success of the Bazaar At Work events programme, we have launched a list celebrating 150 of the most influential female leaders in the UK,” said Harper’s Bazaar. “Spanning industries ranging from fashion, beauty and travel to finance, science and the arts, each of the individuals on the list has proved herself to be forward-thinking, high-achieving and an inspirational role model to women everywhere.”

Malala, the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate, has been honoured for her role in female education. “She opened a school for Syrian refugee girls in Lebanon, and is currently studying PPE at Oxford University,” says the website. She has been listed in the category of ‘Opinion Formers’. Others in this category include Amal Clooney, Emma Watson and JK Rowling.

Malala is currently studying at Oxford University.
