A woman was allegedly gang-raped in a moving car for hours in the satellite city of Gurgaon near Delhi Monday night before being dumped near a hospital in Greater Noida, around 70 kilometres away, police said.

The woman, a resident of Gurgaon, told the police that she was forcibly pulled into a Maruti Swift by some men at Sohna Road around 8:30 pm who then took turns to rape her before dumping her.

A case has yet to be registered so far – a police team from Noida has been sent to Gurgaon for further investigation.

Earlier this month in Gurgaon, three men allegedly gang-raped a woman after throwing her nine-month-old daughter off an auto-rickshaw, causing her death. The woman was attacked on a major highway linking Delhi with Gurgaon after getting into an auto-rickshaw with her daughter around midnight on May 29 to travel to her parents’ house in Gurgaon.

Last month, a 22-year-old woman was gang-raped in a moving car in Gurgaon and abandoned, semi-conscious, near her house.
