You can now apply for long-term visas in the UAE. The UAE cabinet gave the application process the green light on Monday.
Investors, entrepreneurs and innovators can avail this recently-introduced 10-year UAE visa facility as the country’s cabinet approved the regulatory framework for the issuance of residence permits, according to a Khaleej Times report.
Last November, the UAE decided to adopt a new system of entry visas for investors and professionals by providing them long-term visas.
“The UAE’s residency departments will start receiving applications. The UAE has always embraced talent, and it will continue to,” the Dubai Media Office said in a tweet.
Influencers, high-end individual investors, innovators and specialists in medical, scientific research and technical fields can avail the 10-year residency visas. The cabinet approved five-year residency visas for students studying in the UAE and 10-year visas for exceptionally talented students.
In January, the UAE government granted the first batch of long-term visas to the winners of the Mohammed bin Rashid Medal for Scientific Distinction.
