A man in Mumbai killed his wife after she refused to prepare tea and snacks for him, Times of India reported Monday.

According to police, 49-year-old Ramesh strangled his wife to death Saturday evening and surrendered himself to the police.

The police officials said that the wife left home for her parents home after she had a heated argument with Ramesh. She was waiting for a bus when her husband reached the bus stand and tried convincing her to return home.

Ramesh strangled his wife in a fit of rage after she refused, the officials said.

He was arrested and booked under section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
