KARBALA: Hundreds of thousands of Muslims gathered at Karbala on Sunday to proclaim their love and devotion for Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of the battle against Yazid.

Under strict surveillance and security measures, thousands of devotees of Imam Hussain (RA) showed up at his shrine in Karbala to pay tribute to him.

Mourners beat their chests, recited Nohas and waved flags in remembrance of the great sacrifice given by the grandson of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
