British Pakistani Labour candidate Afzal Khan defeated George Galloway and took Manchester Gorton seat to become the city’s first Muslim MP. Khan took the seat with 35,085 votes – an increase of 7,898 on his predecessor, the late Gerald Kaufman who died earlier this year. George Galloway was third in Manchester Gorton with 2,615 votes....
