Bilal Maqsood of Strings has been keeping his fans and followers entertained with impromptu concerts and live sessions with his dad, playwright Anwar Maqsood, on Instagram.

However this Eid, Maqsood has a prayer for everyone to get going this Eidul Fitr.

“It is a very difficult time, everyone knows that we are getting bad news one after the other,” said Maqsood. “I don’t think Pakistan as a nation has ever celebrated such Eid.”

He remarked that it is his prayer to Allah to make this time easy for all. “May Allah gives us the strength and courage to go through this time and focus on more positive things,” said Maqsood.

He hopes for things to get back to normal quickly.

Earlier, he shared the story behind how the band got its name Strings. Maqsood and his bandmates came up with the name ‘Strings’ at a farewell party for their seniors at the Government College of Commerce and Economics.

Taking to Instagram, he shared a throwback photograph of the band’s performance and told fans about their lineup.
