Harassment: Sindh University admin springs into action

JAMSHORO: The administration of Sindh University sprang into action in the wake of reports that several female students have been sexually harassed by male teachers.

According to our correspondent, the authorities have established a harassment complaint cell in the varsity and deployed lady police commandos at hostel of female students.

Also, according to the university spokesman, a professor of English Department, Prof. Faraz Bughio, who was accused of harassing female students, has been transferred to the academy’s Dadu campus “for a fair inquiry” into the incidents of harassment.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has taken notice of harassment of female students in Sindh University (Jamshoro) where, according to a victim, teachers harass female students for marks.

The CJP has ordered registrar of the varsity to file a report on the issue. – Samaa
