PM visits Alibaba Group HQ in China, offers bright prospects for e-commerce

BEIJING: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visited offices of Alibaba company in Zhejiang on Tuesday.

In his remarks on the occasion, he said Pakistan is an emerging economy and the government is striving hard for prosperity of the people.

The Prime Minister said as a result of policies pursued by the government since 2013, there is marked improvement in the economic conditions of the country.

He said it is an era of e-commerce and the government is also focusing on it.

Nawaz Sharif said there are bright prospects for investment in e-commerce in Pakistan.

During the visit, the Prime Minister was briefed about history, working and performance of the company.

On this occasion, an MoU was also signed with the company, which was inked by Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir from Pakistan side.

The Prime Minister also witnessed the signing ceremony. - APP
