KARACHI: Total liquid foreign exchange reserves of the  country increased to dollars 20.05402 billion, said the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

A central bank statement issued here on Thursday said the foreign reserves held  by the SBP on October 2 amounted to $15.202 billion and the net foreign reserves held by other banks were $ 4.85202 billion.

During the week ending October 2, SBP’s liquid foreign exchange  reserves increased by $1.794 billion to $ 15.202 billion compared to $ 13.408 billion in the previous week.

During the week, the SBP received $505 million from International Monetary Fund (IMF) under EFF, $500 million as proceeds of Pakistan International Bonds, $376 million under Coalition Support Fund (CSF) and $263 million as syndicate financing for Government of Pakistan. (APP)
