OGRA suggests hike in oil prices

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended upto Rs.2.43 per litre raise in prices of petroleum products from June 1, SAMAA reported Friday.

The recommendations were made by the OGRA in a summary forwarded to Finance Ministry.

Sources said the summary recommends Rs.1.30 increase in per litre petrol price, Rs.1.81on diesel, Rs.0.80 on light diesel, Rs.0.62 on kerosene oil and Rs.2.43 on per litre price of high octane blending component (HOBC).

The OGRA also recommended that the rates could be retained if government reduces levy on petroleum products. – SAMAA
