(KESC) has been allowed to raise tariff for its domestic consumers by as much as Rs3.98 per unit, SAMAA reports.According to sources in the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), a decision has been taken to increase KESC tariff for its domestic consumers with retrospective effect from October 2013.Sources said that tariff will be increased by Rs3.98 per unit for consumers using 300 units a month. For consumers using 301-700 units a month electricity charges will be raised by Rs3.67 per unit while Rs2.93 per unit hike will be made for those using more than 701 units a month.There will be no change in the tariff for consumers using up to 200 units monthly, sources added. – SAMAA
