Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has clarified that he doesn’t intend to contesting the upcoming Indian elections on PM Narendra Modi’s BJP ticket.

Akshay Kumar’s remarks come a few days after Indian PM Narendra Modi urged Bollywood celebrities to motivate people to vote in the general election.

Bollywood star Aamir Khan has already declined to promote the BJP. “No, I don’t promote any political party,” Khan said when asked if he will promote the BJP.

The elections in India will be held in seven phases from April 11 to May 19.
