Karachi’s Aurat March 2018 was held on Friday and hundreds of people showed up to take a stand for women’s rights.
A protest was held for reproductive, economic and environmental justice, in addition to demanding an end to violence against women and other the transgender community.
The march took place at and around Frere Hall. It was preceded by some powerful speeches, performances and demonstrations.

But what we particularly enjoyed were the posters brought along by fellow marchers to express their thoughts about women’s rights. Here are some of the slogans that we loved the most.
There were multiple rallies held across the country for Women’s Day. This March was about letting people from all walks of life know that Pakistani women deserve better.
The Aurat March was open to all and it also invited women from factories, offices and homes to lend their voice.
