The first trailer for the live-action movie of Dora the Explorer has been released.
The trailer looks like a ton of fun for children who are too young for Indiana Jones movie franchise or Tomb Raider.
The movie stars Eva Longoria, Michael Peña, and Isabela Moner in the title roles.
Here is the official synopsis for Dora and the Lost City of Gold:
Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, nothing could prepare Dora (Isabela Moner) for her most dangerous adventure ever – High School. Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego (Jeffrey Wahlberg), a mysterious jungle inhabitant (Eugenio Derbez), and a rag tag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents (Eva Longoria, Michael Peña) and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost city of gold.
The film has been directed by James Bobin, with Julia Pistor, John G. Scottiserving, and Derbez serving as executive producers. The screenplay has been written by Nicholas Stoller and Matthew Robinson.
The movie will release on August 2.
