Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone’s much-anticipated Madame Tussauds wax statue has been finally unveiled and her husband Ranveer Singh can’t take his eyes off the replica.

The unveiling of the wax figure was streamed live on her Instagram and the video showed Ranveer and their parents posing next to the statue.

Ranveer was very amused when he saw the statue and his first reaction was “Gorgeous”. “Can I take her home?” he asked. “Whenever you’re here, shooting for 83 and you miss me too much, you can come here,” replied Deepika.

The 33-year-old Padmaavat star’s statue sports a replica of the champagne-coloured Sabyasachi cape lehenga she wore to the 2016 IIFA Awards.

Deepika had announced that she’d be getting the wax treatment in July 2018.

“It’s fun, exciting and in a way, I feel a lot of gratitude because you know when you give your fans a little more than just the movies, then it’s really, really special. I hope they enjoy it as much as we enjoy creating it,” she said in a video announcing the wax statue in 2018.

Madame Tussauds London is already home to the wax figures of Bollywood personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and others.
