Malala receives Harvard University’s 2018 Gleitsman Award

Malala Yousafzai made Pakistan proud for the umpteenth time when was recognised on Thursday by Harvard University for her work promoting girls’ education.

She received the 2018 Gleitsman Award from Harvard’s Kennedy School. The Gleitsman Award has a $125,000 prize for activism that has improved quality of life around the world.

In 2014, Malala became the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize when she was recognised for her work supporting schooling for children. Harvard officials say her story has inspired a generation of boys and girls to follow in her footsteps.

She is currently studying philosophy, politics and economics at Oxford University.
