Celebrities and sports stars have urged the nation to exercise their right to vote in the general election 2018 scheduled on Wednesday.

Celebrities and sports stars have urged the nation to exercise their right to vote in the general election 2018 scheduled on Wednesday.

Actors Bushra Ansari, Aijaz Aslam, Adnan Siddiqui and Neelam Muneer have endorsed the Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for the elections.

Singer Farhan Saeed, whose song 'Larho Mujhay' has been played at the PTI's rallies, has also announced his support for the party.

Actor Mani has appealed to the people to vote for the Pak Sarzameen Party while actress Maham Javed wants to see her fellow celebrity Gul-e-Rana, who is contesting on the ticket of the Pakistan Peoples Party,  elected.

Pakistan's pace bowling duo Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis along with Yasir Hammed and spinner Yasir Shah have endorsed the PTI.

Shahid Afridi's daughters also urged the nation to vote for the PTI.

Several sports stars including Mohammad Hafeez, Mudassar Nazar, Salahuddin and Islahuddin have appealed to the people to not sit idle in their homes and cast their votes on Wednesday.

Artists including Jawad Ahmad, Abrarul Haq, Sajid Hasan and Ayub Khoso are contesting elections.
