NEWS DESK: Pooja Jain aka Dhinchak Pooja’s name featured in every speculated list of contestants of Bigg Boss 11, and many were surprised to find her name missing when the final list was revealed. Times of India found out just a few days back that Dhinchak Pooja will be finally making her entry inside the Bigg Boss house as a wildcard contestant in the episode that will be aired on Saturday.
Confirming the news, Pooja said, “Yes, I am going to be a part of Bigg Boss. The production team approached me last week and I agreed to be a part of the show as I thought that it will be a good platform for me. More people will now come to know about me and my music.”
The cringe pop artist from Delhi, who is known for her viral videos and songs, is a huge Salman Khan fan and is waiting to introduce herself to Salman Khan, “I will tell him ki mera naam Dhinchak Pooja hai aur main ek bahut hi confident aur simple larki hoon, aur main unki fan hoon. [I will tell him that my name is Dhinchak Pooja and I am a very confident and simple girl who is his fan.] I would only want him to remember me as Dhinchak Pooja.”
When asked why she added ‘Dhinchak’ to her name, she said, “When I started making my videos, I thought kuch cool naam hona chahiye jo meri personality reflect kare [it should be a cool name that reflects my personality]. I had two words in my mind, rapchik and dhinchak. I thought rhapchik would suit any man, I liked dhinchak better, sun ke pata lagta hai [when you hear it you know] that I am a very confident and cool girl.”
Pooja has never watched Bigg Boss, but says she will be herself on the show and is sure that she will stand out from the rest. “I can adjust to different situations easily and how I react to different situations will depend on my experience inside the house. Mujhe lagta hai sab achha hoga, mere khoon me hi swag hai [I think all will be well, swag runs in my blood],” said Pooja.
Pooja told us that she stays in East Delhi, but she never shares this with anyone because she wants to “maintain her privacy.” Most of her videos are shot around her home “in areas where not many people visit.” In June this year, Pooja was seen riding a scooter without a helmet in her video Dilon Ka Shooter, that caught the attention of the Delhi Police, who decided to send a notice to the owner of the scooter. Luckily, the scooter did not belong to Pooja. “I usually use my friends’ and relatives’ scooter, bike or car for my video shoots, they are rich people. That scooter did not belong to me, so the notice was sent to its owner,” said Pooja.
