NEWS DESK: In yet another snarky jibe at Queen star Kangana Ranaut, filmmaker Karan Johar invited the wrath of Twitterati by stooping further and tweeting against her.
Karan’s relationship with Kangana has remained frosty ever since the actress called him the ‘flag-bearer of nepotism’ on his popular talk show Koffee with Karan. Johar hit back at her later at a press conference, saying he was ‘tired of her playing the victim card’. More controversy followed when Karan, along with Saif Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan, shouted in unison “Nepotism rocks” during the IIFA awards in New York. It snowballed into a massive controversy that Bollywood has not been able to contain so far.
Keeping up with her unabashedly bold personality, Kangana refused to allow the nasty men to let her down. She said that she had made her stand on the topic very clear in her open letter and does not feel the need to say anything else on the same. After the “Nepotism rocks” remarks at the award function, the trio was at the receiving end for mocking the actress and had to eventually apologize for the same. In her letter, Kangana had said that the debate and exchange of thoughts on nepotism are ‘exasperating, but is healthy’.
At the trailer launch of her upcoming film Simran, when Kangana was asked about her take on Saif’s open letter, where he ‘emphasized’ on nepotism being an investment on tried and tested genes, she stated that she had spent a significant part of her life studying genetics but failed to understand how one could compare ‘genetically hybrid racehorses’ to ‘artistes’. She questioned whether artistic skills, hard-work, experience, concentration spans, enthusiasm, eagerness, discipline and love, could be inherited through family genes and added that if that were true, she would be a farmer back home.
With Kangana’s emphasis on the need to cater talent and merit instead of personal ties, Karan seems to have gotten quite defensive. It is evident in his recent tweet.
Dear talent …I wish you would stay away from overconfidence and delusion….they are constantly conspiring against you…don’t you see it?

Naturally, he was called out for the uncalled for comments that come after his apology on the “nepotism rocks” chant.
So insecure person… Kangna is way more talented than others… Single handed facing whole Bollywood.. #hugerespect…just love her 😄
